Reese's 2nd Halloween

Well, my little stinker was a SKUNK for Halloween this year! I can definitely say that this Halloween was much more exciting than last year. Reese is at the age now where she can actually enjoy Trick or Treating and boy, was it fun to watch! I think she may have been a little more interested in the wagon than the candy, but she has a blast all the same. Davie, Kelly, and Mom came along for the first venture, and Davie pulled the wagon while Kelly helped Reese up to the houses. I swear, those two make it very easy on me! When they're around, I don't have to do much! They definitely spoil this girl.

Every time Reese would go up for candy, she would come running back down the driveway yelling, "WAAAAGONNNNN!" in an Exorcist voice. I thought Davie may pee his pants. We spent the majority of the walk cracking up at Reese. She's such a character. At one point, Davie hid the wagon behind a tree while Reese was getting her candy. She panicked for a minute, but then the little smarty-pants found it! I don't think she would have given that wagon up for anything.

All in all, she did such a good job - I can't believe how big she is getting already. She would go up to the houses all by herself, yell "Treat!" (her version of Trick or Treat), and then she would say "Thank you!" in an excited, squeaky, little voice. It was the cutest thing. I think she won the hearts of a few people that night.

After we made our way around our street, we came back to the house so Grandma and Grandpa Johnson could go out with us for awhile. Halfway through the trip, Reese decided she wanted to pull the wagon instead of ride in it. She jumped out yelling, "I'll do it! I'll do it!" There was no convincing her otherwise! At one house, she walked to wagon right up to the porch and waited patiently for the very nice man to fill her wagon up with candy. We all just sat there and laughed! I think it made the old guy's night. Reese finished the night off walking the wagon back home while holding Grandpa's hand. They walked together with a wagon full of candy trailing behind them...

I can only imagine what next year holds!

"Mom, why do you do this to me?"

Oh so excited about that damned WAGON!

"Uhm, I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do here..."

"Reese - where'd the wagon go?!" Mean Uncle Davie!

She even gets help climbing the steps

"Screw the bag, I'm using the wagon."

"Fill her up!"

"I'll do it! I'll do it!"

Reese made lots of friends that night.
