I took Reese for her check-up for the Croup today. Her temperature is back to normal, and the doctor said she sounds good. The cough will linger for a few weeks, but she's all better now! But, of course, the rest of us are sick! Sorry about that, Davie.
Reese also has had a funky rash on her face that the doctor said is Eczema. He thought about giving her steroid cream for it, but doesn't want to go that route quite yet, because they can build a tolerance to it. I'm going to have to do a little more research on it, because I think it may just be from her wiping her runny nose at night, and the skin is just irritated. I mentioned this to the doctor, so he recommended giving her some OTC Claritin to stop her runny nose, to see if that helps the rash. No one in either family (I believe) has Eczema, so it seems weird that she would. Anyway, it looks gross, and I'm ready for it to be gone! It doesn't seem to bother her though, which is a good thing. She never itches it or seems to be bothered with it, so I'm thinking it's not Eczema, which normally causes severe itching.
Anyway, I do have a funny story from today. Reese got a kitchen for her birthday, as most of you know, and it came with a little phone. It just has buttons that push in, nothing fancy. Well, today, she brought me the phone and said, "Broken, Mom, broken." I was like, huh? Then, I burst out laughing, and explained to Reese that it wasn't broken, and that it just isn't made to make noises. How spoiled are our kids? Every cell phone and toy for that matter makes a bazillion noises, so the first time one doesn't, it's "broken". Ey, yey, yey, these kids. Anyway, I got a good laugh out of that one!
Well, that's all for now - not too much going on. Jon and Nicole, we miss you already! It's so nice to have you guys home, and I'm so glad Reese remembers you both now. I love to see her cuddling with you! So, we will work on that job, and you guys better get your butts moved back up here. Oh, and Davie, Dora's eyes float. GROSS!
I'll post some new pictures, soon.
